The UCL Division of Surgery & Interventional Science is part of one of the most prestigious medical schools in Europe, with a team of nearly 400 people, from surgeons and oncologists to clinical trials specialists and researchers. The MSc programme in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health is based at the Institute of Sport Exercise and Health , an International Olympic Committee Injury Prevention Research Centre and one of world’s leading institutes for sports and exercise medicine. Cross-disciplinary knowledge spanning public health including epidemiology; health policy and management; social sciences and medicine. You will learn through a combination of formal lectures, hands-on practical sessions, small group seminars, exercise lab sessions, and clinics where your contribution through discussion is a vital part of the learning process. Your teaching faculty are all highly experienced doctors and physiotherapists working in NHS and elite sports and exercise medicine settings and your lecturers are national and international experts in their own fields.

Exploring all aspects of infant, child and adolescent care, our Pediatric and Child Health books and journals range developmental and behavioural research to texts on critical care, and allergy and immunology. The Expert Collection is the world’s largest series of review journals in research, development, and clinical medicine. Our Dermatology collection is the ideal companion to any students, researchers or practitioners of this branch of medicine. Divided into clinical medicine, general reference, medical education, revision guides, and surgery, our Medicine collection spans the full spectrum of internal medicine and surgical specialities. The Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences is responsible for coordinating biomedical teaching and research activities at Lancaster. We work with the NHS, public sector, industry and voluntary sector organisations to develop solutions to health care problems; innovating for the benefit of patients, the NHS, industry and the wider economy. Social responsibility

Students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented at university are not always aware of the breadth of support opportunities available to them. Offering books and journals on prognosis, treatment, prevention and the cause of diseases related to blood. Exploring patient care before, after and during surgery, our Anesthesiology books and journals cover topics from obstetric and surgical anesthesia, to pain management and critical care medicine. By working collaboratively across the faculty’s research themes, our talented researchers are able to push boundaries in their fields and innovation within, and beyond, the research community. Since 1907, the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene has been dedicated to improving tropical medicine and global health. You will have access to the Knowledge Centre, the Cairns Library and the Radcliffe Science Library. The Knowledge Centre on the Old Road Campus provides a wide range of papers and electronic resources in international health. The Cairns Library at the John Radcliffe Hospital, in addition to providing a wider range of journals, books and electronic resources also provides dedicated courses in evidence-based practice, search skills and learning support materials for library users. Students on the course are expected to become engaged members of their cohort by actively participating in all classroom sessions, group work activities and cohort exercises.
