Our world-class facilities are designed to give students a simulated feel of the clinical environment they will work in. We offer a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, research and CPD courses at our campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough. Our MSc in Medical Physics will improve your knowledge of how technology can help diagnose disease, while you learn about all the major aspects of physics as applied in the modern clinical/health environment. Our researchers conduct a wide range of fundamental and applied research that has impact on many aspects of modern life. Our scientists translate their expertise into many spheres to advance science, inform policy, shape industry and help individuals.

We take insights from bedside to bench and back again, resulting in real world impact and better patient outcomes. The quality of our research has again been recognised in REF2021, with 85% of our faculty research being rated as world-leading or internationally excellent overall . By the end of the course, graduates will also have acquired a range of technical and transferable skills. They will have acquired or consolidated methodological, linguistic, technical and ancillary skills appropriate for research in their chosen area. They will also have demonstrated the ability to make independent judgements based on their own research, presented their own ideas and arguments in a public forum and learned to contribute constructively within an international environment. Smart Technology Advancements in Health and Rehabilitation

These deadlines apply to applications for courses starting in Michaelmas 2022, Lent 2023 and Easter 2023. Students complete three essays over the course of 9 months, working closely with supervisors to address a range of topics covered by the core and optional modules. They will also write a dissertation on a topic of their choice, refined in consultation with their supervisor. Dissertation seminars give students the opportunity to gain experience in presenting their own work and discussing the issues that arise from it with an audience of their peers and senior members of staff. Placements are an integral part of many of our courses, and give you real experience for when you start your career.

Students develop essential research skills through an independent research project. There are no compulsory elements of this course that entail additional costs beyond fees and living costs. However, as part of your course requirements, you may need to choose a dissertation, a project or a thesis topic.
